The MXGP of Great Britain, which marked the nineteenth and final round of the season, started on a positive note for Valentin Guillod on Saturday, securing the fifth position in the qualifying race at the Matterley Basin circuit. On a fantastic track and with favourable weather conditions, he made an impressive start in the first moto on Sunday. However, a crash on the first lap dropped him to 20th place. Despite this setback, he staged a remarkable comeback, finishing eleventh and gaining three positions in the last four laps. The second race proved to be smoother and he finished eighth, ending the Grand Prix in ninth place. This result reflects his final position in the championship after an outstanding season.
Despite a knee injury suffered a week earlier, Emil Weckman’s determination led him to compete with the team in Great Britain. He coped with the pain and gained two points in the first race, but was unable to take part in the second moto. Emil finished the GP in 20th place and placed 15th in the World Championship standings after two injuries during the season.
